SOFTSWISS has reported that almost 55 per cent of sports bets on its sportsbook in 2022 were made on football, although tennis proved the most profitable sport.

Football bets accounted for 54.64 per cent of wagers on the SOFTSWISS sportsbook, with basketball making up 16.32 per cent and tennis 15.67 per cent.
Alexander Kamenetskyi, head of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, said: “American football and cricket are among the top seven sports, which pleasantly surprises us.
“This shows that they are represented well at the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook and our partners' marketing campaigns work great for them.”
From an esports perspective, Counter-Strike titles accounted for almost 75 per cent of all bets and wagering on League of Legends pulled in over 15 per cent of the esports offering.
Meanwhile, the football World Cup attracted 37.5 per cent of all sports bets.
Kamenetskyi added: “The flexible margin system mastered by our risk team has been a major contributing factor.
“Twenty new projects and three platforms have also helped us achieve this phenomenal growth.
“The launch of unique bonuses contributed to the attraction and retention of players in the projects, which also played a significant role.”
