Seven online operators are set to launch mobile sports betting in Massachusetts next Friday, the US state’s Gaming Commission has said.

In a meeting on Wednesday, MGC executive director Karen Wells said the state is on track to meet its launch date of mobile sports betting.

The regulator is to issue seven licences by next Thursday.

Ten operators have approval and temporary licences to launch in Massachusetts, but Betway, Bally Bet and Fanatics are holding off on their go-live dates.

Three of the seven licences going live are tethered to land-based operations, which went live at the end of January.

Barstool Sportsbook is tied to Plainridge Park, BetMGM is with MGM Springfield and Caesars Sportbook is tethered to Encore Boston Harbor.

DraftKings and FanDuel are among the standalone licensees.
