The Alderney Gambling Control Commission, which is recognised as having one of the most stringent approval and inspection processes, has granted SEGA Games, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the SEGA Corporation, a full interactive online gambling licence.
Robin Le Prevost, head of ecommerce development for Alderney, says: “That SEGA Games chose to base their new venture with us in Alderney is something we are immensely proud of. In our minds it vindicates the high quality of our regulation, which is recognised the world over and has seen substantial investment from companies of high standing like SEGA over the last few years.
“Our fiscal strategies, bilateral agreements with other countries, our technical infrastructure and regulations have created a perfect support base from which to operate from. Here in Alderney we are witnessing a huge upsurge in interest from across the globe.”
A SEGA Games spokesman said: “The Alderney Gambling Control Commission provides the most comprehensive gaming regulations with the strictest requirements and as such is recognised as the most reputable online gaming jurisdiction. This provides an excellent fit with Sega’s regulatory compliant strategy and we are pleased to be approved by this leading authority.”
