Gross igaming revenue in Michigan hit its second-highest figure to date in May of US$198.6m, contributing the biggest share of the $239.5m in overall online gaming revenue for the month.

May’s igaming revenue jumped month-on-month from April’s $192.9m, with the Wolverine State posting adjusted gross igaming revenue of $178.7m in May – a rise of 2.6 per cent from the previous month.
Sports betting added $40.9m in gross betting receipts, with the adjusted figure of $28.1m – a rise of 1.2 per cent from April – contributing to AGR of $206.8m.
“Compared to a year ago, in May 2023, igaming AGR was up by 31.9 per cent and sports betting was up by 27.7 per cent,” the Michigan Gaming Control Board reported.
However, online sports betting handle in May dropped 13.9 per cent from April’s $399.1m to $343.7m.
