Trading difficulties were the reason put forward by operator bet-at-home for a downward trend in its financial results.

The half-year update from the company said that its departure from the Austrian market and reducing the size of its business after the closure of its Malta subsidiary were dominant factors.
The company’s GGR was €26.7m, a fall of 19 per cent on the same period of last year. The online sportsbook performance stood at €24m, down 25 per cent.
