888 Holdings has reported a 55 per cent increase in fourth quarter revenues and issued a positive outlook for 2008, as the company's female-focused bingo business continues to attract gamers.

Sales for the Gibraltar-based company totalled US$62.8m, compared to $40.5m in the fourth quarter of 2006. During the same period, 888 said it achieved a 30 per cent increase in real money registered accounts to 4.7 million.

The results were driven in part by 888ladies, a new bingo offering launched with new community and chat tools, best-in-class bingo tutorials and soft games. The product is showing hundreds of new customers recruited daily since its launch.

Looking ahead, 888 said the first quarter of fiscal 2008 had started strongly, with casino and poker first time depositors increasing by 17 per cent in the first 37 days of trading.

"This was a transformational year," CEO Gigi Levy told Bloomberg. "These are very good results that we think show our strategy is delivering."
