Posting its results for the second quarter of 2017, Yggdrasil Gaming reported a 103 per cent year-on-year increase in revenues for the quarter, to SEK40.4m (€4.23m).

Earnings (EBITDA) for the quarter also nearly doubled, to SEK18m (€1.89m), at a margin of 44 per cent. Mobile gaming now accounts for 56 per cent of total gross game win.
For the half year, revenues increased by 116 per cent to SEK73.8m (€7.73m) and EBITDA by 76 per cent, up to SEK31.2m (€3.27m).
Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of Yggdrasil, said: “It has been another strong quarter and I am thrilled to report further impressive growth as we continue to reap the benefits of our long-term strategy.
“Yggdrasil has been expanding its regulated footprint in recent months and investments in new markets, including the UK, are now generating revenues. It is exciting to see that these investments have proven to be ‘bang for our buck’ and it underlines our commitment to these markets as part of our wider corporate strategy,” said Elmqvist.
“The first six months of the year have exceeded expectations but we will once again aim to raise the bar for the remainder of 2017 and beyond, with new games and features on the horizon.”
