The Assembly Regulatory Oversight and Gaming Committee approved a bill on Thursday that would allow New Jersey residents to gamble online at Atlantic City casinos.

The committee, which voted three to one with one abstention to send the bill to a vote of the full assembly, also passed a bill that would allow mobile betting at racetracks in the US state. The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee last month passed the state Senate’s version of online legislation by a 11-0-1 margin. Last year saw Governor Christie veto an online gaming bill that had passed both the Senate and Assembly.
