The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has reported a 6.2 per cent increase in total gaming revenue for September to US$476.3m, contributed to by record monthly igaming revenue.

Sports betting handle grew 12.56 per cent year-on-year to $726.3m, but corresponding revenue declined by 27.05 per cent to $36.6m, down from just over $50m last September.

Nevertheless, igaming showed a 41.46 per cent boost in revenue to $159.5m, beating the previous highest monthly igaming revenue figure of $148.2m in March this year.

Slot machine revenue and retail table games revenue in September dropped by 0.70 per cent and 7.83 per cent, respectively, with video gaming terminals revenue following suit with a 7.18 per cent decrease in revenue to $3.2m.
