As the world wide web becomes increasingly saturated with social networking sites, the pre-school generation is now set to join the interactive revolution.

Music fans have MySpace; business professionals can build on their network of contacts through LinkedIn; and the Facebook phenomenon now boasts 69 million active users worldwide.

Now, with the launch of DinosaurJunction.com, children as young as three can begin to foster online relationships.

The interactive game teaches lessons about the prehistoric world in "a fun and safe environment," according to developers.

Players can navigate through a child-safe virtual world, buying clothes in the shop with gems they have earned through playing the educational games.

Parents will be able to monitor and manage their children’s accounts, view their ‘buddy’ list, monitor their child’s conversations and limit their playtime daily.
