This Sunday will see PokerStars launch the Summer Stacks Women’s Sunday Event, which, it claims, is the first ever women’s-only online poker event.
Taking place on June 8 at 8pm ET, female players across North America will have the opportunity to win their way to the live felt at the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Women’s Event this November in Las Vegas.
“We’ve long been supporters of growing the game for women and this online initiative is another important step,” said Steve Preiss, director, TSG Interactive. “By lowering barriers to entry and offering meaningful rewards, we’re aiming to make the game more accessible, more inclusive and more exciting for women players across the region.”
The Summer Stacks event will award the winner and runner-up from each liquidity an NAPT Women’s Event package, worth US$600, which includes a $330 seat to the NAPT Women’s Event and $270 in travel expenses.
