A Norwegian poker player has won a US$1.6m slot jackpot at PokerStars Casino.
"Zetheriver" won the life-changing amount on popular Blueprint Gaming title Genie Jackpots on February 13.
“When the wheel stopped at the jackpot, I was for a split second sure that the software had frozen,” said the newly-made millionaire. “But when the congratulations came up on the screen and the money suddenly was on my PokerStars account I could not really breathe… I could not believe it. I was so happy.”
Genie Jackpots is part of Blueprint Gaming’s Jackpot King series, a progressive jackpot system that boosts the jackpot size. This is the first time a slot game belonging to the Jackpot King series has been won at PokerStars Casino.
The win follows another 2018 jackpot, which hit on Winstar at PokerStars Casino for US$605,604. In 2017, PokerStars Casino made nine millionaires, seven of which were on PokerStars Casino’s in-house developed Millionaires Island and Stars Mega Spin.
