Gaming software specialist Playtech has agreed terms to take over the supply of Austria’s regulated online poker network.

Playtech iPoker

The initial three-year deal will see Playtech work closely with the Austrian Lotteries and Casinos Austria-owned win2day brand to replace existing suppliers and deliver a desktop and mobile-enabled poker platform for the country’s only regulated network.

The platform will launch in March with software and technical support over the next three years, as Playtech works alongside win2day to expand the offering.

Playtech has invested heavily in its iPoker client including a new lobby and home tab, an overhaul of tables and a series of new game views enabling improved, personalised access to a wide variety of games.

Joerg Nottebaum, head of iPoker for Playtech, said: “Working in regulated and newly regulating markets with the largest and leading operators is one of Playtech’s core strengths.

“We’re delighted to have agreed terms with win2day and look forward to developing not only the country’s first but also best-performing poker network and products.”
