Playtech, the global online gaming software developer, has acquired Win Gaming Media subsidiary MIXTV for a cash consideration of US$1.75m.
MIXTV provides leading end-to-end technology for the delivery of mass-multi-player live gaming applications via linear broadcast television and interactive live television shows, on analogue, digital, terrestrial, cable, satellite networks, and web broadband TV.
Through the incorporation of MIXTV’s mass-multiplayer functionality, Playtech said it would further maintain its leading position in live gaming.
In addition to the asset acquisition, Playtech has signed a licence and service agreement with Win Gaming.
