Paf added in its 2022 report that its Land & Ships business has also “recovered a great deal” after the coronavirus pandemic.

Paf CEO, Christer Fahlstedt, said 2022’s performance was a “good result” for the operator, adding that it is “doing much better in Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.”

Paf’s profit increased from €34.3m to €44.4m, with around €8m of that due to a temporary reduction in lottery tax in Finland.

Chairman of the Board, Jan-Mikael von Schantz, said that that Paf has been able to distribute €33.1m to good causes as a result of its 2022 performance. Paf says it has donated €416m to societal benefits since its foundation in 1966.

Fahlstedt added that the responsible gaming measures the operator implemented in autumn last year, including lowering mandatory loss limits, will cost the business €7m.
