Chinese gaming technology firm PacificNet has entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Spin3, the mobile gaming company.

Under the terms of the agreement, PacificNet will use Spin3’s large line of wireless gaming products and markets in several Asian countries, including Cambodia, China and the Philippines.

Eugene Ng, online gaming director for PacificNet, said: "We are more than excited to partner with Spin3 to expand our online business in one of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world."

Spin3’s OnCash system enables land-based casinos to instantly expand their business while maintaining customers’ current payment processing methods. Players pay for credits and receive play-for-real casino games on their mobile phone or hand-held device.

PacificNet’s multi-player gaming systems appear in some of the most popular casinos in Macau, including SJM, Casino Lisboa, Galaxy Casino, Holiday Inn Macau, Greek Mythology and Jai-Alai Casino.

In a separate announcement, PacificNet has elected Octavian head Harmen Brenninkmeijer as executive director.

Commenting on his appointment, Brenninkmeijer said: "I am delighted to join the PacificNet board and very much look forward to contributing to the company’s planned growth in the global gaming sector.

"PacificNet has a strong gaming focus and the acquisition of Octavian has further strengthened that position," he concluded.
