Fifteen Latin American online gambling operators have banded together to form Online Gaming Latam (OGL).
The companies, from five different countries, will work to promote initiatives to help legality, social responsibility and transparency in gambling across the region.
The members come from Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay and Costa Rica and they are driven by the evolution of online gambling in the region, notably because of recent closures in land-based venues through the pandemic and new regulations in some jurisdictions.
A non-profit organisation, OGL will look at the industry’s needs in every possible aspect, including online and live casino operations, online bingo, sports betting, digital betting, fantasy sports, esports and other activities.
The companies in membership are BetPlay, Wplay, MozzartBet and AquiJuego from Colombia; Apuesta Tota, MeridianBet, Inkabet and TeApuesto from Peru; Il Palazzo, Casino Carnaval and Play 595 from Paraguay; Palpitos, Jugadon and Casino Del Rio Online from Argentina; and Betcris from Costa Rica.
It is run by an Administrative Council under the presidency of Evert Montero Cardenas of Fecoljuegos.
