Norway’s state-owned lottery operator Norsk Tipping has confirmed that Tonje Sagstuen has become the company’s new CEO.

Sagstuen has been part of the operator’s senior management team since 2014 and has worked as deputy CEO for the past five years.

“Norsk Tipping is a large company that plays an important role for the whole of Norway and I look forward to leading the work on our important social mission further,” she said.

Sylvia Brustad, chairman of Norsk Tipping, added: “The board has appreciated the work Sagstuen has done as acting managing director and is pleased that she has accepted the position on a permanent basis.

“We are convinced that Sagstuen is the right person to lead Norsk Tipping going forward.”
