Johansson, who held the interim position following Therese Hillman’s promotion to group CEO in early September, was appointed following a thorough search process.

He has more than 30 years of experience from numerous management positions in various sectors, in both public and private companies – most recently from Ratos AB – where he held the position as senior investment director and prior to that, as acting CEO.

Previous positions include CFO of Swedavia AB, CFO/COO of TV4 Group AB and CFO/COO and acting CEO of Orc Software AB.

Hillman, group CEO at NetEnt, said: “I am very pleased to appoint Lars Johansson as chief financial officer. He brings significant experience to the role and has already played an important part in the ongoing change process of NetEnt.”

Earlier this month, NetEnt announced it is to lose 55 full-time psotoions as it seeks to allocate further resources to game production.
