MGM Resort’s interactive gaming president Scott Butera is set to address delegates at next month’s Sports Betting Investor Summit in New York.

The gaming company and its sports betting venture, Roar Digital, announced a multi-year partnership with sports bar brand Buffalo Wild Wings last week, which will see the BetMGM digital gaming platform introduced throughout its venues.

Among the first collaborations will be a new Buffalo Wild Wings sports bar that is due to open at Mandalay Bay next year, with other set to follow across the chain’s 1,200 strong restaurant estate as states continue to pass sports betting legislation.

Butera will discuss the unique deal, as well as opportunities that sports betting presents for land-based casinos, on the opening panel of the Investor Summit at New York’s Metropolitan West on Monday, November 4.

He will be joined on the panel, which will be moderated by Morgan Stanley, by Kresimir Spajic, senior vice president and managing director, online gaming and sports betting, Hard Rock International.

The one-day investor summit is set to be followed by two days of debate at Sports Betting USA.

Event director Rory Credland said: “Speakers like Scott Butera are what makes this a must-attend event, as they are at the cutting edge of what is set to be a $5bn industry in the next five years.

“We have a stellar line-up again this year, with all of the major sports leagues represented, and a host of very knowledgeable speakers who will be able to shed light on all of the current challenges and opportunities.”
