The Malta Gaming Authority revoked seven licences last year and assisted over 6,000 players who suffered from problem gambling.

The Times of Malta newspaper said that the MGA had issued 64 warnings and imposed €176,016 in fines.

The details from the MGA’s annual report also showed that 13 individuals and companies were considered not up to standard in mitigating the risks of money laundering and another 13 operators had breached the commercial communications regulations.
