Meridianbet Group CEO Zoran Milosevic has confirmed the acquisition of Golden Matrix is expected in Q1 as the company released its 2023 results.

The Meridianbet Group achieved growth of around 25 per cent in 2023, compared with 24 per cent growth in 2022.

EBITDA and net profit also rose for the company by around 10 per cent and six per cent, respectively.

It said the launch of its Atlas proprietary gaming platform across 40 per cent of its territories steered the growth alongside partnerships with 36 media outlets and integrations with six online casino platforms.

The Meridianbet Group developer brand Expanse Studios, meanwhile, generated ticket sales of about US$2m in November with its WinGo numbers game, a 55.4 per cent increase on the $1.28m recorded in September.

Milosevic said the Meridianbet Group is “especially excited” about expansion in Brazil, with the company having fully established casino and sportsbook operations there and submitted an expression in interest in obtaining a Brazilian gaming licence.

He added: “We look forward to the completion of the acquisition by Golden Matrix, now expected in the first quarter of 2024, and how the combined company will offer state-of-the-art B2B and B2C gaming platforms in multiple jurisdictions worldwide.

“The completion of this acquisition will drive long-term value for all our stakeholders as we benefit from economies of scale and from both companies’ historical revenue and profit growth.”
