A data-sharing agreement has been made between the Malta Gaming Authority and the International Cricket Council that represents over 100 national governing bodies for the sport.

MGA

Cricket is one of the most popular sources of online betting and the ICC is the global administrator for the sport, staging major events around the world and fixing playing regulations. Under the agreement both bodies will share information to help ensure the legal requirements for gaming.

Said Antonio Zerafa, the MGA's sports integrity manager: “The agreement represents the ongoing commitment of the MGA in combatting match-fixing and other types of manipulation. It will permit the two parties to share crucial data related to the process of detecting, prevention and investigation.”
