Sweden’s LeoVegas Group has registered as a gaming operator in Ontario, Canada, in anticipation of the province opening up to mobile and online gambling.

This is an important step in the company’s licensing process and next it will enter into an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario after some preparation. The LeoVegas and Royal Panda brands will then go on offer to casinos and betting.
Ontario has 14 million people, around 40 per cent of Canada’s population, so it is a prime target for online gambling companies. LeoVegas is already a strong operator in Ontario and the rest of Canada, accounting for 13 per cent of the group’s revenue.
