The trade body said the company’s membership will strengthen its representation in countries where the company has a strong presence, such as the Nordics.

LeoVegas Group will begin contributing to EGBA initiatives on responsible gaming, advertising and anti-money laundering best practices.

“This partnership aligns perfectly with our vision of leading the way towards a sustainable and well-regulated gambling industry in Europe,” said LeoVegas Group’s director of policy and regulatory affairs, Carl Brincat.

LeoVegas Group brings “valuable expertise” to the EGBA and “will enhance our collective efforts to promote a well-regulated and sustainable gambling sector in Europe,” said EGBA secretary general Maarten Haijer.

LeoVegas Group launched its own sportsbook in Germany in November after launching BetMGM in Sweden in October.
