Online operator Kindred Group faced "headwinds" in 2021, notably with the temporary closure of the Dutch market.
The group, however, maintained its momentum with £247m in the first quarter of 2022, therefore sharply improving its performance, but it still had a decline of 30 per cent in revenues.
Take away the Dutch influence and the decline would have been restricted to five per cent, the company said. The underlying EBITDA was £25m compared with £106m in the comparative period but similar to the last quarter of 2021.
