Kindred has said CEO Henrik Tjärnström has resigned from the company, effective immediately.

Nils Andén, who was previously the group’s chief commercial officer, has stepped into the role.
Neither Kindred nor Tjärnström explained the move, but Tjärnström said he was “very pleased with the board of directors’ choice” of Andén, which he said guarantees a “smooth handover.”
Andén has had other roles at Kindred including head of poker, head of established markets and chief marketing officer for the Unibet brand.
He said: “I have a strong belief in our organisation and the business models that have made this company so successful and am more confident than ever in Kindred’s potential.”
Evert Carlsson, chairman of the board of directors of Kindred, said Tjärnström “has undoubtedly put his mark in both the history of the company and the industry.”
Tjärnström’s departure comes days after chief financial officer Johan Wilsby announced he is to leave Kindred in the autumn.
