Online sports betting revenue in Kentucky, US, rose by over 50 per cent year-on-year in February.

The Kentucky  Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation’s latest report showed online adjusted gross gaming revenue rose from US$18.7m in February 2024 to $28.9m in the latest month, a rise of 54.2 per cent.

Month-on-month, online wagering revenue declined by 10.5 per cent from $32.3m in January.

Online wagering handle in Kentucky hit $218.99m in February, up 14.3 per cent year-on-year from $191.5m but down 19.2 per cent from January’s $271m.

Kentucky generated $4.1m in tax revenues from online sports betting in February, up 54.2 per cent year-on-year from $2.7m but down 11.1 per cent from $4.6m in January.

Retail sports betting generated $5.7m in wagers in Kentucky in February, AGR of $458,262 and tax revenues of $36,688.

Overall, DraftKings edged out FanDuel for revenue in the month, pulling in $11.9m in online AGR ahead of the Flutter Entertainment brand’s $11.5m.

Bet365 and BetMGM fell in behind with online AGR of $1.99m and $1.05m, respectively.
