Kentucky’s mobile sports betting revenue fell in February after successive months of growth in November and December.

After December’s figure of US$32m, revenue in the Bluegrass State climbed to $36.4m in January, the second highest since October’s record of $54m.

However, in February, online wagering revenue dropped by 43 per cent from January to $20.8m.

Mobile sports betting handle in February also declined month-on-month, from $246.1m in January to $198.6m in February – a drop of 19.3 per cent.

DraftKings led the way for mobile sports betting in Kentucky in February, generating revenue of $8.3m ahead of FanDuel’s $7.7m.

As for Kentucky’s retail sports betting market, handle hit $9.8m in February, down by 11.2 per cent from January’s $11m.

Retail sports betting revenue in February of $722,390 translated to a 59 per cent decline from January’s $1.8m, which was a record high in the state for a full month since retail wagering got underway at the start of September.
