The Kansas Lottery has reported that sports betting revenue in May totalled US$8.9m, down from $9.2m in April.

However, the figure is fairly stable since February’s taking of only $35,916.
Sports betting handle also decreased in Kansas in May to $120.3m from $132.9m in April. Both figures remain fairly low on efforts earlier this year, when the Sunflower State reached between $190m and just over $200m in handle in January, February and March.
Online sports betting handle continues to dominate in Kansas, with $115.6m of the monthly figure taken via mobile wagering compared with $4.7m spent via in-person in sportsbooks.
Tax revenues from sports betting in Kansas subsequently declined in May from $919,720 in April to $887,390.
