Two Irish subsidiaries of Full Tilt Poker have been named as defendants in the case by the US Department of Justice.
According to the Irish Times on Saturday, Full Tilt Irish-based companies Pocket Kings and Pocket Kings Consulting are included in the list of defendants on the formal complaint filed by US attorney Preet Bharara.
Pocket Kings provides software, IT, customer and management services to online poker group Full Tilt. It employs 800 people but reportedly warned recently that up to 250 of those jobs were under threat as its licence was suspended.
Bharara filed a motion to amend the original charges, filed last April, alleging that Full Tilt engaged in money laundering and bank fraud in the US.
The DoJ last week accused Full Tilt of paying "phantom funds" to its players using players’ funds to pay out hundreds of millions of dollars to its owners.
