Autorite nationale des jeux’s Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin was appointed at GREF’s annual conference between June 5-7 in Bergen, Norway.

Anders Dorph from the Danish regulator, Spillemyndigheden, was made a vice-chairman of GREF, while Tim Miller of the UK Gambling Commission is now a treasurer.

Sarah Kelly from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission has become a GREF secretary, while a representative from each of the Belgian, Norwegian and Maltese regulators have become ordinary members of the board.

Falque-Pierrotin said: “In this time of innovation accelerating and challenging current regulations, and of public opinion concerned about player protection, European level is crucial.

“We are indeed facing common questions and our exchanges are productive. I believe that in this very complicated period, regulators have a specific voice that needs to be heard, one that listens to the various stakeholders and serves to protect players.”

The GREF board’s first assessment of its activities will take place at the next annual conference in Malta in May 2024.
