Gaming Innovation Group is set to expand the reach of its igaming platform and sportsbook in North America after being awarded licences in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

GiG has earned an online sports wagering operator licence in the former state and an interactive gaming manufacturer licence in the Keystone State.
The licence issued by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency will see GiG assist Crab Sports launch in the state in May.
GiG says it has a brand launch planned in Pennsylvania that will expand its relationship with one client.
Claudio Caruana, general counsel for GiG, said: “Regulation will continue to drive the industry in North America as markets mature, allowing us to support and protect operators and their customers, establishing suitable, robust frameworks for sustainable growth.”
Marcel Elfersy, chief commercial officer at GiG, added there is now “further opportunity for us to add value for new and established partners in the region,” amid GiG’s US hub being opened later this year.
