Gaming Innovation Group has gone live with Hard Rock’s omni-channel sportsbook offering, marking the launch of GiG’s sports betting services into the US market.

The sportsbook delivers a seamless experience for players, who can now place bets online and on the mobile app within the state of New Jersey, and in person on the casino floor at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City.
New Jersey was the first state in the US to open up a sports betting market following the Supreme Court’s decision in 2018 to repeal the federal ban on sports betting.
Since the first bet was placed in July last year, the market has quickly grown to a value of US$21m per month, with around 70 per cent being online. There are 8 licensed operators competing in the state of New Jersey.
The sportsbook has been delivered in time for Super Bowl, one of the world’s largest sporting events, starting on February 3.
Robin Reed, CEO of GiG, said: “This is a milestone for GiG. We have an ambition to make our mark on the highly competitive sports betting vertical and have invested heavily. We are now launching our first major operator into a significant market with the possibility of more markets in the US to follow.
“We have gone from winning the highly competitive tender, to launching a full omni-channel solution in just over half a year. This is a strong validation of GiG’s commercial and product delivery capabilities and we are looking forward to growing with our partner long-term.”
Kresimir Spajic, senior vice president of online gaming at Hard Rock International, said: “The launch of the sportsbook at HardRockSports.com is another milestone on our journey to becoming the most innovative and comprehensive online gaming service for players in the State of New Jersey.”
