The North Macedonian igaming market is the next destination for Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) and its platform, front end development and managed media services.

They will be used to launch the digital operation of K.A.K., the hospitality, tourism and services company.

The Macedonian Government has now lifted the ban on online operations and land-based operators can apply for online licences. K.A.K., through its LeGrand casinos, be one of a handful of operators in the country able to offer table games to online players along with a complete slots portfolio.
K.A.K. has chosen GiG’s casino platform that offers the GiG managed media services as well, to capitalise on the move into online gambling.
A heads of agreement between the two companies has been signed with a final signing due for next month, based upon a fixed fee and revenue sharing basis. The casinos are expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2021.
Ognjan Cigovski, CEO at K.A.K, said: “GiG is known in the igaming industry as a reliable and trusted company with a history of success working with land-based operators such as ourselves. With its help, we will expand into the newly regulated online market and we believe that by joining our efforts we can translate the feel and look of our LeGrand casinos into an online offer that both caters for our current players as well as attract new ones.”
Richard Brown, CEO at GiG, said: “North Macedonia has a long history in the land-based casino segment and is a major casino tourist destination in the region. Partnering with a leading brand of a hospitality and entertainment group in the region is a great opportunity for GIG and we look forward to helping replicate LeGrand Casinos’ retail success online as the market regulates.”
