Paddy Power Betfair has confirmed that Alex Gersh, the company’s CFO, intends to step down from his position after six years with the group once a successor has been appointed.

The company has appointed an executive search firm to assist with the process of appointing a replacement.

This comes at a time soon after the surprise departure of Breon Corcoran, the former Betfair chief that took control following the merger between Paddy Power and Betfair last year. He was replaced by Peter Jackson on January 8.

These management changes occur at a crucial time in the gaming industry, with the UK government currently debating limits on FOBTs.
