Software developer of skill and casino games GameAccount Network is opening its proprietary internet gaming system to third party content developers.

This announcement comes ahead of the Italian Government’s decree to regulate cash play casino and slots in 2011, a market analysts estimate at up to €20bn annually.

The company has supplied Italian operators, starting with SNAI and followed by Lottomatica, Sisal, Intralot Italia, Eurobet Italia and Cogetech, since 2008. In November, it launched a suite of free casino games specifically optimised for the Italian market with SNAI and another major licensee is expected before the end of the year.

These preparatory steps are towards the launch of real money casino games and the company has announced an open door policy to partners with best-of-breed gaming content. Integration with some European third party content platforms and the selection of localised casino games is now under way, with the first partnerships set to be announced in early 2011.

"Our mission in 2011 is to bring our licensees in the emerging Italian market, and indeed for all markets, best-of-breed casino games," commented Dermot Smurfit, managing director of GameAccount Network.
