Gambling operator Betway has agreed a two-year deal to become the official shirt sponsor of Spanish La Liga side Levante UD.
Nicknamed “Granotas” (The Frogs), Levante UD was founded more than 100 years ago and finished 15th in La Liga last season, with the highlight being a 5-4 victory against a champions Barcelona.
Betway has been the principal sponsor of English Premier League side West Ham United since 2015 and this is the second Spanish sponsorship in their portfolio, having agreed a deal with CD Leganés earlier this year.
Already a betting partner of Bundesliga club Werder Bremen and Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht, the deal enhances the online gambling company’s reach throughout Europe.
