Around three months after taking over as CEO of SKS365 and its flagship brand PlanetWin365, Thomas Smallwood talks to iNTERGAMINGi about his new role and the year ahead.
WHEN Thomas Smallwood was announced as the new chief executive of PlanetWin365 the move gave his career a neat symmetry.
The appointment followed Smallwood’s three years as CEO of eGaming Consulting, during which period he launched follwr.com, a start-up offering sports betting tips and news in the form of a social network. Prior to founding eGaming Consulting, Smallwood had worked for William Hill, GoldBet and Casinos Austria.
The move to PlanetWin365 – back to an operator – was, he said at the time, too good an opportunity to turn down: “Moving back to the operator side of the business was a challenge I could not resist, especially given the potential of SKS365 and the extraordinary work ethic within the company and the successes of the previous management team.”
Smallwood, who took on responsibility for a strategic review of the company and for expanding into new markets, has spent the last 12 weeks or so immersing himself in the business.
