Michigan has generated record igaming revenue for the second month running with January’s figure of US$181.9m.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board said igaming revenue topped December 2023’s previous all-time high of $181.4m by 0.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, total mobile sports betting handle of $577.4m came close to matching December’s $583m.
However, gross sports betting receipts for January totalled $47.7m, down 22 per cent from December’s $61.1m.
Combined total igaming and mobile sports betting adjusted gross receipts in Michigan in January reached $183m, including $164.2m from igaming and $18.8m from mobile sports betting.
Those figures translated to a 0.5 per cent igaming increase and a 46.5 per cent mobile sports betting decrease.
Online gaming operators reported submitting $31.3m in taxes in January, with tribal operators making $3.6m in payments to governing bodies in the month.
