The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has awarded igaming certificates to its first three casino license holders.
Gaining approval are Chester Downs and Marina, operator of Harrah’s Casino Philadelphia; Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, operator of the Parx; and Mount Airy #1, operator of the Mount Airy Resort Casino.
The licence fee of US$10m covers online slots, table games and poker, with a total of over $100m having been put forward by applicants.
More applications will be considered by the Board for Interactive Gaming up to October, with a date for online gaming to commence yet to be set.
