With a new name for his company and at a new location, Finnplay’s CEO Martin Prantner had been cautiously optimistic about ICE 2013. As the show comes to a close for another year, Prantner is reflecting on what, for him, has undoubtedly been an excellent event.

“Looking back on the exhibition, this year we have seen – and met - big demand from our operators. We have had a lot of discussions with new operators looking for an open, flexible platform where they can integrate different game providers because, overall, what we have heard is that nobody wants to be locked in with one supplier,” said Prantner.

“Really operators are looking for flexibility and openness and that’s exactly how we at Finnplay have specified our new product – to provide an open platform for operators where they can chose games depending on the markets and its needs.”

As Prantner talked, the stand once again bustled with visitors. Talk is quick, business is being done and there’s an obvious pace to proceedings. “Online gaming is a very fast-moving industry and operators do not have the luxury of wait months for new games,” said Prantner. “They need to adapt very quickly and this year we have seem many new content companies visiting us, looking for a very flexible platform to integrate new games quickly.

“The stand has been really busy and lots of visitors have asked specifically for our products and not just asking about what we do. We have got some really good leads and I think this year will the first that we actually close a deal at the exhibition, which we are very happy about.”

Prantner would not be drawn on the details but it is clear that ICE 2013 has been a landmark moment for the CEO and his company.
