The Danish Gambling Authority has issued a DKK100,000 (£11,622) fine to an unnamed person for illegally distributing igaming products.

The regulator Spillemyndigheden said the person in question was the owner of two websites which referred to websites where players could circumvent self-exclusion to play.

“This is only possible on websites without a Danish licence,” the authority said.

“Since it is not permitted to target advertising to Danes for sites without permission, the Danish Gambling Authority reported the person to the police earlier this year.”

The regulator added that the person was fined DKK50,000 (£5,809) for each website.
