Flutter Entertainment brand FanDuel has marked this year’s Responsible Gambling Month with the new Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting campaign.

FanDuel Trusted Voices

The North American gaming and betting operator’s campaign is designed to give adults, including parents, guardians and sports coaches, tools and resources to have conversations with young people about gambling.

The initiative also aims to help young people understand associated risks and where to go for support.

Former NBA player and basketball coach, Randy Livingston, and his wife, sports agent Anita Ondine Smith, has partnered with FanDuel for a series of videos.

The pair detail Livingston’s journey to playing several seasons in the NBA while struggling with problem gambling.

“As legal sports betting continues to become more accessible, I knew I wanted to use my experience to help families engage in proactive and informed conversations about gambling,” said Livingston.

“It became apparent to me and Anita that FanDuel shares our goal of helping parents navigate these tough, but important conversations.”

The content has been created in consultation with gambling harm prevention solutions provider EPIC Global Solutions.

“Randy and Anita have an incredible story and a desire to help others, and we are excited to expand our advocacy program to raise awareness of the importance of having early and informed family conversations about gambling and the associated risks,” said Alison Kutler, vice president, Sustainability and Responsible Gaming, at FanDuel.

Elsewhere, FanDuel has expanded its relationship with Kindbridge Behavioural Health to bolster its support program for those who have self-excluded from the operator’s platform.
