FanDuel led the way in Maryland for sports betting transactions in the first nine days since legalisation in the US state.

The operator saw 48 per cent - or $89.9m - of the just over $186m worth of online sports bets Marylanders placed between November 23-30 go through its platform.
Figures from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission's figures included $63m in free bets given out by operators.
DraftKings tallied close behind FanDuel with $69.6m - or 37 per cent - of bets placed.
BetMGM, Barstool, Caesars, PointsBet and BetRivers made up the numbers, with Maryland off to a strong start.
Ohio and Massachussets are other US states with sports betting operations being planned in the near future.
