Entain has revealed how the British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the most popular Formula 1 race of 2022, after Max Verstappen took the top spot at this year’s edition on Sunday.
The British race took 7.3 per cent of all online bets during the F1 season for Entain’s brands, the most of any of the events.
Saudi Arabia followed with 6.1 per cent and the Bahrain GP came in third, accounting for 5.8 per cent of the online bets.
Monaco and Italy followed as the most popular destinations Formula 1 bettors on Entain’s fans flocked to throughout the 2022 season.
Dominic Grounsell, chief commercial officer at Entain, said Silverstone’s ranking is a “testament to unique blend of history, intensity, and passionate support that makes the British Grand Prix an unmissable event for fans worldwide.”
In Sunday’s 2023 edition of the British Grand Prix, Lando Norris finished second with Lewis Hamilton in third.
