After three days in Hall 1 at Fira Barcelona, EiG 2013 came to a close yesterday with exhibitors and visitors reflecting on the latest big date in the i-gaming calendar.
Edict, a subsidiary of Merkur Interactive, which is part of the Gauselmann Group, welcomed a wide range of visitors to its stand. Edict’s Nina Helrod told iNTERGAMINGi: “We have a bigger stand than last year and the first day was probably the busiest day for us.
“It’s an important show for us, next to ICE. Along with the London show, EiG is the show you have to be at – the industry sees you and your clients see you. It’s the i-gaming show.”
James Illingworth of Gaming Laboratories International said GLI too was pleased with the event: “We’ve enjoyed the show and had three busy days, with a good quality of visitor to the stand.”
Phil Adcock of Isle of Man-based data and network specialist Domicilium added: “The value is that it provides a focal point to meet a number of existing and prospective clients in one place.
Michael Probert, general manager and managing director – Europe, Bally Interactive, said the event had gone well for Bally: “For me, I like that it is a little quieter than G2E. I think it's got the right people here and you actually get time to sit and talk to them.
“You don’t get the walk-ins admittedly – making it less traffic heavy – but crucially you do get the right kind of people coming in. I like this show.”
