A spending limit for online gamblers should be introduced in the Netherlands, says the country’s regulator.

KSA chairman Rene Jansen has called on his government to institute the limits to protect players. Jansen was speaking at a session of the European Association for the Study of Gambling’s conference.
He called for a duty of care for operators that brought about a limit and also a responsibility not to just leave the limit to do its work.
Jansen said his country does not do as much to protect players as other jurisdictions who might, for example, ask players to set their limits on deposits (it is an option in the Netherlands).
