The Netherlands gaming authority, the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), is to report illegal online lotteries organised through Facebook, known as "dipping."
It has issued a letter reporting that a violation has been reported to Facebook with a request to remove the Facebook group in which the lottery is housed.
The KSA started 13 investigations in recent months and began to co-operate with Facebook, which made plain that it did not wish to provide an opportunity for illegal activities.
They are now working together to combat illegal gambling promotion or activities. The KSA has now registered seven groups with Facebook, all of whom have been removed.
