The Dutch gaming authority, the KSA, issued a record €1.7m in fines during 2018, it announced this week.
There were 23 sanction decision in all. Of the seven administrative fines, five were in connection with the provision of online games of chance to Dutch consumers. The fined companies were Bet-At-Home, Corona, Mr Green, CyberRock/Honeydew and WHG International.
Under current Dutch laws it is not possible to gain a licence to offer online games to Dutch players, although an act to introduce legalised remote gaming is currently with the Dutch Senate.
